What Does it Look Like to Follow Jesus Today?

This is the question posed by the creators behind Alabaster Co., the publisher whose visually stunning Bibles have invited millions of people to read Scripture and experience God as beautiful. Through their work, Brian Chung and Samuel Han have had conversations with hundreds of talented Christians, people working to reimagine and restore what it means to live with faith, even in the midst of a culture that is causing us to be more cynical, isolated, and mentally unwell than ever before. These conversations led to a desire to widen the imagination for what integrating faith into a purposeful life can look like, to show a broad spectrum of Christian belief and practice.

Modern Faith is the result of these conversations, showcasing compelling stories of how thirty diverse individuals—from artists to architects, entrepreneurs to executives, therapists and parents and musicians and so much more—experience God’s presence in their lives. Alongside striking original photography, these unique stories encourage us to reflect on:

How does Scripture set the foundation for our lives? How can we root our identity in God, rather than achievement, success, platform, or productivity? What rhythms keep us grounded when life is noisy? What role does church and Christian community play? How do we know we are becoming who God has created us to be?
